Glenn Perry Godfrey

Glenn Perry Godfrey, age 62, of Sanford, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Forsyth County on August 28, 1959 to Joan Thomas Godfrey and the late Bobby Byron Godfrey.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by granddaughter Katlynn Michele Calbro and sister Donna Sue Godfrey.  Glenn worked in construction for many years where he was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.  He was a jokester, loved to make people laugh and had a smile you could never forget.  Glenn had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jerri Jane Freeman Godfrey; his mother Joan Godfrey; daughter Lori Geist and husband Jason of Sanford; son Jonathan Godfrey and fiancé Laura of Colorado; brother Tony Godfrey and wife Pat of Alabama; sisters Tammy Godfrey and husband Kenny of Sanford and Melissa Marsh and husband Jeff of Sanford and grandsons Christian Godfrey and Brian Geist.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 5:00 PM with Karen Ashley officiating.
