George Steele Stone

George Steele Stone, age 69, of Sanford, NC, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Genesis in Siler City.

He was born in Chester Co, PA, on June 14, 1951, to the late Charles Henry Stone, III and Mary Zeigen Stone.  Mr. Stone was a self-employed Surveyor. 

Surviving relatives include his spouse, Elizabeth Jean Gunter Stone; a step-son, Jonathan Woodham and Jessica of Fuquay-Varina, NC; step-daughter, Jill Whitty and Josh; grandchildren, Nolan and Novie Woodham of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Maximus Whitty, Michaelyn and Isabella Bender of Sneads Ferry, NC, and Madison Whitty of St Mary’s, GA; brothers, Rocky and Mary Stone of Honey Brook, PA, and Chip Stone of Fairfield, IA; sisters, Debby Wakefield, Ann Stone, Sandy and Jack Michenfelder of Rainy Day Farm, Chatham County, NC.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM, Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donald Burns officiating.  The body may be viewed on Wednesday, April 28th, from 2:00 PM to 4:45PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
