Florence Virginia “Ginger” Burns, age 72, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Harnett County on July 20, 1948.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stella Burns Hornaday.  Ginger worked in the public School System in the cafeteria and as a bus driver.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Burns Thomas and husband, Buddy of Southport; sister, Ruth Baker of Fuquay-Varina;...
