Florence (Ashworth) Baker

Mrs. Florence Ashworth Baker, age 94, of Sanford, N.C. died Thursday, March 5, 2020, at her home.

She was born in Harnett County, N.C. on Feb. 6, 1926, to the late Henry Ashworth and Rettie Baker Ashworth.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Baker and by daughters, Glenda Baker and Helen Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Lynn Baker; daughters, Barbara Mason and husband, Steve and Judy King; son-in-law, Fleet Thomas; twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, ten great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Eastside Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1115 Broadway Road, Sanford, N.C. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at Eastside Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ernest Hinson and Pastor Jim Skinner officiating.  Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
