Flener Mae (Strickland) Holder

Mrs. Flener Mae Strickland Holder, age 86, of Sanford, N.C., passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at The Greens at Pinehurst.

She was born in Bladen County, N.C. on March 31, 1940, to the late Paul Strickland and  Annie Lovin Strickland.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Robert Holder and daughter Wanda Holder. Mrs. Holder was a founding member of Crossroads Ministries in Broadway.

She is survived by her son, Robert Holder of Sanford; daughter, Pamela Boyer and husband James of Sanford; four grandchildren, Katie Whitson and husband Jeff, Shannon Layne, Amber Malone, and Kenny Holder and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Backlund officiating.  Burial will be private.
