Ernest Glenn Coley

Ernest Glenn Coley, age 82, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital.

He was born on May 31, 1938 to the late Lee Coley and Mildred Thompson Coley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Leslie Coley and Bobby Coley.  Glenn was a long-time member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and sang in the Choir. He was known for his upbeat personality, well-developed sense of humor and tall tales he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Godwin Coley; son, Ron Coley of Sanford; daughter, Cathy Wicker of Sanford; one very special granddaughter, Anna Johns of Sanford/New York and sisters, Connie Hickman and husband, Tommy of Sanford and Velma Rogers of Sanford.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Buffalo Cemetery with Jody McNeill officiating.  Due to current limitations because of Covid and to ensure the safety of those attending, the service will be limited to family and close friends.
