Eileen Roseanne (Treusch) Jones

Eileen Roseanne Treusch Jones, age 83, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023. 

She was born in McKeesport, PA, on February 5, 1940, to the late William Joseph Treusch and Olive Elizabeth Kohl Treusch. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lynn Jones, infant daughter Patricia Ann, stepfather Robert G. Parkins, brother Melvin W. "Bud" Treusch, son-in-law Curtis Richard "Rick" Lowther, and grandson Matthew Richard Lowther.

Mrs. Jones was a member of Center United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed participating in Sunday School and other church events. In her younger years, Eileen was an avid outdoorswoman and enjoyed both hunting and fishing in West Virginia. She was a renowned home baker, with particularly famous cakes and coconut cream pie. Eileen was an accomplished painter, and she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially if she was beating them in card games. 

She is survived by five children: daughters Deborah R. Lowther of Sanford, Roberta L. Parnicza and husband George of Weirton, WV, and Lynne A. Bedsole and husband James of Eatonton, GA; sons Robert Alan Jones and wife Sandy of Sanford, and Randall S. Jones and wife Lhea Ann of New Manchester, WV; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Thearon Willis officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
