Edna Hall Cummings, age 84, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Lee County on May 2, 1940 to the late Sandy Weldon Hall and Mary Margaret Cameron Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Cummings and siblings, Ruby Hall, Mary Cummings, Martha Godwin, Betty McGehee, Weldon Hall, Alton Hall, Johnny Hall and Albert Hall. Mrs. Cummings loved flowers, working in her garden and spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Darrell Cummings (Mary) of Cameron; daughter, Debbie Pilson (Robert) of Sanford; brother, Lester Hall (Margaret); grandchildren, Chris Pilson (Jenny), Jeffrey Pilson (Kati), Alisia Bouldin (Kevin) and James Cummings, Jr., and great-grandchildren, Ryan Pilson, Luke Pilson, Payton Pilson, Caroline Bouldin and Cole Bouldin.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. John Baker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church and other times at the family home.
