Edgerton Mark McBryde

Edgerton “Mark” McBryde, age 54, of Sanford, NC, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Lee County on February 16, 1971 to Eddie Wade and the late Norman Douglas McBryde.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Eirk & Lucy Wade and Lizzie McBryde Howard.

Mark worked as a gifted carpenter.  He loved doing carpentry work and took great pride in his finished product.  Most especially, Mark loved his family.  His favorite musical bands were Tool and Perfect Circle.  Mark will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by mother Eddie Wade; sister Cathy McBryde Blue (Lendell); nephews Eddy McBryde (Alyssa), Ronald McBryde; great-nieces and nephews Makayla, Delaney and Kayden McBryde; cousins Dale Edwards and his children Michael, Brianna, Jonathan and Abby and Daryl Edwards and his children Thomas and Lindy Edwards.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lee Memory Gardens with Rev. Robert Thomas and Mr. Jody McNeill officiating.  The family will receive friends at his mother’s house.
