Dorothy "Dot" (Boggs) Stack

Dorothy “Dot” Boggs Stack, age 74, of Sanford, NC, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

She was born in Lee County, NC on January 31, 1951 to the late Edwin Benjamin Boggs and Bessie Kathryn Grissom Boggs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Linda Boggs Downey.

Dot was a faithful member of Sanford Community Church.  She and her husband JR enjoyed camping. She also enjoyed her flowers and garden statues.  Dot was the best cook and made the best lump-free creamed potatoes.  She took it upon herself to make all the food for family events including her delicious cakes and pecan pies.  More than anything, she loved her family, church family and helping people.

She is survived by her husband Wesley “JR” Thomas Stack, Jr.; sons Tommy Stack (Lori), Eddie Stack; grandchildren Ginger Sparks (Gavin), Holly Stack, Ashley Hardin (Jason), Katelyn Stack and great-grandchildren Daisy Baker, Gerald Blackmon, Jr., Bentley Blackmon and Max Hardin.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and other times at the family home, 2867 St. Andrews Church Road, Sanford, NC 27332.  The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sanford Community Church with Pastor Randy Buchanan and Danny Corrillo officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
