Dorothy Blue (Nall) Sizemore

Dorothy Nall Sizemore, age 90, of Sanford, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Moore County to the late Toy Nall and Beaulah Stoltz Nall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arnsby “Tom” Sizemore and son, Mark Anthony “Tony” Sizemore. She was the oldest living member of Red Branch Church having joined the church at the age of 11 years.  She played piano for the church and started her own quartet and played on Sanford and Southern Pines radio stations.  In earlier times, she was a cosmetologist and had even sold real estate for a period of time.

Dot enjoyed flowers, traveling, plundering thru thrift stores and eating out.  She was known for her love of hats – seldom seen without one of some style and sometimes known as the “Hat Lady”.  She was a people person and never met a stranger.  Dot will be missed by all who loved her.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in Lee Memory Gardens.
