Dorothy May (Garner) Medlin

Dorothy May Garner Medlin, age 92, of Sanford, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation.  She looked forward to going to heaven to be with Jesus and loved ones gone on before her, so now has she stepped out of this earthly life to eternal life in heaven. She was a devoted Christian and a loving mother.  She often said “what you give to others comes back to you” 

Mrs. Medlin was born in Randolph County on July 7, 1928 to the late William Bradley Garner and Hassie Maness Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Eldin Medlin and son James Medlin. 

Mrs. Medlin is survived by sons Steve Medlin and wife, Dianna of Nevada and Donald Medlin of New Mexico; daughter Roseanna Goode and husband Carl of Raleigh; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Private graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Grace Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Ricardo Quinones officiating.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation who took such wonderful care of Dorothy during her stay of five years.
