Doris Davis Holland went to be with the Lord on February 21st, 2021, at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida at the age of 73 years old. She is preceded in death by her parents Ivey and Nellie Davis, and her son Paul Rudolph Holland. She is survived by her husband Rudolph Holland, her daughter Angela (Steve), and her grandchildren Rylee and Jon Patrick. Doris was a graduate of Waynesburg College, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Science/Nursing. She was awarded with the outstanding achievement of being in the Top 10 Adult College Educated Students in the state of Pennsylvania. She worked as Director of Safety for Napa State Hospital and later as a disability claims nurse for Liberty Insurance Company. Perhaps her greatest accomplishment was authoring the book Life’s Tragedies, God’s Grace, based on her and her family’s harrowing experience of raising a physically and mentally handicapped son. Above everything, Doris Holland was known for being a dedicated pastor’s wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a fervent follower of Christ.
