Donna Louise (Owens) Stone

Donna Louise Owens Stone, age 56, of Sanford, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was born in Lee County, NC on June 26, 1968.  Donna worked many years in multiple factories before pursuing her CNA license which allowed her to work at CCH, Moore Regional and Skills Creation over the final years of her life.  Donna was a very independent hard worker, ensuring everyone around her was taken care of.  In her free times, she enjoyed playing Candy Crush, spending time with family and shopping with her bestfriend.

Donna was preceded in death by her father John S. Owens, father-in-law Garland F. Stone, and mother-in-law Miriam E. Stone.

She is survived by her husband John D. Stone of 27 years; daughter Angel Stone; son Charles Hunter (Shelbee); mother Louise Owens; sisters Patricia D’Angelo (Tony), Kay Hughes (Scott); sisters-in-law Brenda Stone, Peggy Stone; nieces and nephews Kimberly Strickland (Michael), “DJ”Parrish (Stephanie), Sara Bruton (Soloman), Ashley Hughes, Briar Hughes, Carmen Toro, Tony Toro, Maria McGehee, Sarah Strong (Dennis), great-nieces and nephews Junior Strickland, Jasmine Strickland, Kaelyn Strickland, Stella Parrish, Ashley Hernandez, Buck Collins, Doodle Collins, Laquiesha Barkely, Braxton Toro, Naquan Buie, and Tyler Toro.  Also her best friend Sheila Crawford and non-official sons Zach Pentland and CeeJay Hoskie.

Donna will be cremated without a viewing.  Family will hold a Memorial in the home of her sister Patricia located at 132 Hardwood Lane, Sanford, NC 27330 on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
