Donna Charlene (Stone) Sloan

Donna Stone Sloan, age 62, of Sanford, NC passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 at UNC Hospitals.

She was born in Lee County, NC on September 20, 1963 to Jessie Clarence Stone and Mildred Sloan Stone.  Her father and her brother David Stone preceded her in death.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Kyle Sloan; sons Justin Baker, Jason Baker; step-son Robert Sloan and wife Chelsea; step-daughter Danielle Sloan and boyfriend Taylor; brother Sammy Stone and wife Jill and step-grandchildren Piper, Juniper, and Porter.

Donna worked for Moen in production and for many years, was a loving caregiver for Alzheimer’s patients.   She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and was a wonderful cook and baker.  Donna enjoyed doing diamond art and cross-stitch and was a loving Christian woman who loved her cats and her family.  She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

The family will be receiving friends at Mildred Stone’s home, 400 East Harrington Ave., Broadway, NC 27505.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Broadway Town Cemetery with Rev. Ken Dowdy officiating.
