Donna Kay (Sharpe) Bryant

Donna Sharpe Bryant, age 77, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Lee County on May 17, 1943 to the late Ben Joe Sharpe and Mary Frances (Mae) Gilmore Sharpe.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Ralph Edward Bryant; granddaughter Kyndle Harrison; siblings Frankie Sharpe, Van Sharpe and Mary Deanna Sharpe.  Donna worked many years in the banking industry.  She loved spending time with her family.  She will be missed. 

Donna is survived by her daughters Paula Harrison and husband Charles of Sanford; Marianna Cauthen of Sanford and Edana McDonald of Carthage; son Jimmy Bryant of Sanford; brother Benny Sharpe of Sanford; sisters Becky Kelly of Broadway, Frances Kelly and husband Donald of Sanford, Jackie Tart and husband Larry of Sanford, Patricia Stone and husband Jimmy of Sanford and Jenny Kennedy of Sanford; grandchildren Kanten Harrison, Kayla Murchison and husband Aaron, Kacie Harrison and fiancé Noah Bell, Kolby Harrison and girlfriend Kelsey Douglas, Markie Whitehead and husband Cody, Carlie Cauthen, Isreal McDonald and Solomon McDonald and two great-grandchildren Kylie Murchison and Crew Whitehead.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 11:30 am at Cameron Grove Cemetery with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.
