Dolores Gonzales Obituary

Dolores Gonzales, age 62, of Sanford passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice House in Pittsboro.

She was born in Cameron, Texas on December 17, 1959, to the late Antonio and Matilde Pina Gonzales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Helen Aguilar. Dolores spent her life providing care for others – parents, nieces, nephews and friends. She had a big heart; she cared so much for those around her and refused favors in return. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dolores is survived by brothers, Ray Gonzales, Joey Gonzales (Cris) and Ernest Aguilar (Mary Lou); sisters, Ninfa Gonzales (Sandra Bass) and Mona Lisa Gonzalez (Homer); and many special nieces and nephews.
