Obituary

Denise Womack Spartz, age 51, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022.

She was born in Lee County, NC on May 15, 1971 to Franklin “Jack” Mack Womack and Linda Way Sloan Womack.  Denise’s father preceded her in death.  She was a member of Zion Christian Church and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Campbell University.  She worked over 21 years for Wood Technology and most recently began working at This End Up Furniture Company.  She also loved her part-time job at Walmart where she made many friends.  Denise had many hobbies including; photography, scrapbooking, cake decorating and fishing.  Her positive personality touched many people through the years.  She always made sure to take plenty of photos to remember events because her favorite thing was spending time with her children, husband and parents. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Jay M. Spartz; son Matthew Spartz and wife Brittany of Broadway; daughter Sarah Spartz of Sanford and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Zion Christian Church with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation but everyone is welcome to visit the family at her mother’s home.
