Denise (Tippett) Hackworth

Denise Tippett Hackworth, age 65, of Sanford, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Central Carolina Hospital, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lee County, NC on June 25, 1960 to the late Royce Edward Tippett and Mary Alice Spivey Tippett.  Denise worked many years for Static Control then worked for Earth Tec as an administrative assistant.  She enjoyed vacationing at the beach and visiting wineries.  She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

Denise is survived by her husband, of 37 years, Tommy Joe Hackworth, Jr.; son Trevor Hackworth (Jamie) of Charlotte; daughter Caley Hackworth Tubiolo (Steven) of Hillsborough; sister Diane Parker and grandchildren Lillie Mari Weeks, Karsten Ryan Weeks, Giovanna Royce Tubiolo, Thea Rose Hackworth and Ivey Elizabeth Hackworth.

A celebration of Denise’s life will be held at a later date.
