Delores "Flossie" (Campbell) Morrison

Delores “Flossie” Campbell Morrison, age 68, of Sanford, NC, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Central Carolina Hospital.

She was born in Chatham County, NC on September 28, 1951 to the late Arthur June Campbell and Bonnie Jean Phillips Campbell.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rickey Cameron Morrison; daughter Lisa Ann Morrison; brother Bobby Joe Strickland and sister Linda Strickland Baker.

Flossie was a private duty caregiver and loved her family more than anything.  She treasured their Sunday lunches and her family loved her wonderful cooking.  She was a woman of great faith and always told everyone that “God is Good”.  Other than being with her family she loved to front-porch-sit with her coffee and enjoy the views.

She is survived by daughters Rita M. Matthews and husband Justin of Carthage, Kristie Morrison of Sanford; sister Jo Ann Campbell of Sanford; four grandsons James Edward Thomas, Rickey Jordan Thomas, Kincaid Cameron Stone; Avery Samuel Stone; and great-grandson Noah Blair Thomas.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Mr. Kevin Stone officiating.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home and at other times at the family home, 111 Hill Ave., Sanford, NC, 27330.
