Delores (Sutphin) Griffin

Delores Sutphin Griffin, age 78, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

She was born in Lee County to the late Royce Sutphin and Emma Mae Haire Sutphin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Diarous Lee Griffin and brother Stephen Royce Sutphin.  Delores was a 1965 graduate of Sanford Central High School and worked many years in the insurance field.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Delores is survived by her brothers-in-law Darren Griffin and wife, Fran of Charlotte and Danny Griffin and wife, Susan of Sanford; several special nieces and nephews and sister Lynda Young.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Burriss officiating.  The family will receive friends in the narthex of the church following the graveside service.
