Della (Hall) Steward

Della Hall Steward, age 78, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lee County on December 6, 1941 to the late William Hall and Ruby Douglas Hall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Rickie Hall and his wife, Sandra and William Hall and his wife, Edith; sister, Margaret Douglas; granddaughter, Christy Skoniecki; great-grandchildren, Vivian Skoniecki and Mackenzie Wimberly.  After her retirement from Magneti-Marelli, she enjoyed traveling with her husband on their Gold Wing, camping and walking on the beach.

Della is survived by her loving husband, Johnie; daughters, Denise Godfrey and husband, Dwayne, Debbie Starling and husband, Stanford and Michelle Jackson and husband, Frank; sisters, Jackie Stack and husband, David, Kathy Jordan and husband, Mike, Jean Hall and Donna Borowiec; grandchildren, Brittany Martin, Ty Starling, Stanford Starling, III, Bryan Martin, Drew Jackson, Jr., Melissa Jackson, Stephen Godfrey and wife, Ashley, Casey Godfrey and wife, Virginia, Crystal Wimberly and husband, Andy, Amber Imes and husband, Justin and Ashley Peterson and husband, Michael; great-grandchildren, Hunter Godfrey, Dawson Godfrey, Riverlynn Godfrey, Derrick Godfrey, Matthew Godfrey, Chael Peterson, Eden Peterson, Jordan Peterson, Payton Wimberly, Conner Wimberly and Stella Imes, Camden Jackson, Savanah Jackson, Sebastian Skoniecki and future great-grandchild, Caspian Martin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM at New Life Fellowship Church with Dr. Gail Dickens officiating.  Burial will follow in Lemon Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.
