Danny Edward Lemons

Danny Edward Lemons, age 63, of Sanford, NC, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.

He was born in Lee County, NC on September 5, 1957 to the late Robert Vernon Lemons and Melvin Bates Lemons.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Roger and Ricky Lemons.  Danny worked 30 years as a machinist for Magneti Marelli and then worked several years for Crossroads Nissan.  One of his favorite hobbies was drag racing.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Beal Lemons and loyal dog Bud; sister Sherry Blackwelder and husband Dave of Sanford; half-sister Emmy Lemons of Burlington; step-mother Patsy Lemons Boltman of Johnsonville and step-sister Angela Lemons of Florida.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens.
