Dannie Joe Goodman

Dannie Joe Goodman, age 71, of Cameron, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 17, 2020.

 He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 10, 1949 to the late Robert William Goodman and Merna Chambers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepmother, Kay Goodman; sister, Susie Hash and brothers, Johnny Goodman and Gary Chambers.  Dannie retired after a 25-year career in the United States Airforce.  After retirement, he owned and operated Dannie’s Electric for 10 years.  He also worked as an electrical quality control supervisor for McKnight Construction and BL Harbert International. 

 Dannie is survived by his loving wife. Carol; daughters, Stacie Morgan (Sam) of Georgia, Dawn Smith (Matthew) of Lillington and Kristina Schneider of Iowa; brother, Kim Armour of Iowa; sisters, Mary Kay Kelley of Iowa, Mary Ellen Liddick of Iowa, Sandy Franke of Iowa, Nancy LaBreck of Iowa, Karen Teter of Iowa, Diana Rounds of Illinois and Jimmi Harms of Nebraska; grandchildren, Alexis Morgan, Cole Morgan, Aubrie Morgan, Gunner Morgan, Gage Morgan, Ronin Morgan, Dillon Smith, Madison Smith, Macie Smith, Drew Smith, Zach White and Angel Baugher; great-grandchildren, Oliver Baylis, Penelope Noreiga and Lola Fernandez and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 The family will receive friends on August 22, 2020 at Hillmon Grove Baptist Church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wayne O’Quinn officiating.
