Dan Patrick Maghan, age 80, of Cameron, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in San Luis Obispo, California to the late Dan Everett Maghan and Jean Edith Dill Maghan. Dan served our Country in the United States Air Force and retired as Chief Master Sargent after 28 years of service after which he was a truck driver for Swift until moving back to NC where he worked for Lowes in Sanford for several years. Dan never met a stranger and could do anything. He loved fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Leona Abshire Maghan of the home; his daughters Zoe and Samantha of California; brother Mike Maghan (Jan) of Oregon; sister Sandy Maghan of Oregon; brother-in-law Hal Abshire (Lynn) of Cameron; special niece Stephanie Spell (Adam, Olivia and Max) of Sanford; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a special four legged child “Charlie”.
No services will be held at this time.
