Curtis Lee Champion

Curtis Lee Champion, age 79, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Central Carolina Hospital.  

He was born in Wake County to the late Grover Lee Champion and Electa Wilson Starling.  In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Flowers and a brother Hubert Champion.Curtis was a member of the Church of God of Prophesy, Sanford. He held many jobs, and retired as a fabricator for a HVAC company. He is survived by a son, Brian Champion; sister Virginia Smith of Sanford; a brother Donald Ray Champion (Brenda) of Maryland. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 2:00 PM at Lee Memory Gardens with Rev. Vernon Riggins officiating.

There will be no formal visitation, but friends and family are welcome to come by the funeral home and pay your respects on Wednesday,  April 24, 2024 from 10:00AM- 4:00PM.
