Connie Kay (Thomas) McNeill

Connie Kay Thomas McNeill, age 72, of Durham, NC, formally of Broadway, NC, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Duke University Hospital.

She was born on February 5, 1953 in Lee County, NC to the late Ted Lewis Thomas and Emma Margaret McNeill Thomas.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Lewis Thomas.

More than anything, Connie loved her family and trips to the beach and mountains.  One of her favorite past-times was shopping and she also enjoyed her pets.  Connie will be remembered as a caring, loving wife, aunt and sister. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband Donald McNeill, of Durham, NC; nephew Travis Michael Thomas, Lillington, NC and sister-in- law Gail Thomas, Lillington, NC; 3 close family members who where more like sisters, Dianne Flynn (Dwight) of Sanford, NC; Vickie Harrington, Sanford, NC; Terri Lynne Spivey (Chad) of Sanford, NC; many cousins, and several aunts & uncles.

The family will receive friends at Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 2:30 PM until 3:50 PM.  A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Doug Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
