Clara Jacqueline (Wandzilak) Jenkins

Clara Jacqueline Wandzilak Jenkins, age 67, of Moncure, NC, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at the SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro.

She was born in Miami, Florida on November 5, 1951 to the late George Wandzilak and Rosa Lee Beard Wandzilak.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wally Jenkins and brothers Danny and Mike Wandzilak.  Clara worked many years as a cook for Oak City Diner and as an environmental technician at Wake Medical Center.  She was a faithful member of Moncure Baptist Church.

She is survived by twin-daughters Jessica Lee Zimmerman and husband Shane of Goldston, Rebekah Ann Roche and husband Kevin of Clayton; brother Greg Wandzilak and wife Alex of Florida; step-grandson Aiden Zimmerman; and grandchildren Landon Roche, Lily Roche and Sutton Zimmerman.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Moncure Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Garrett, Rev. John Howard and Mr. Jimmy Jones officiating.  The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church fellowship hall.
