Christopher Lynn Freeman, age 33, of Sanford, NC, died Wednesday, December 3, 2020 at UNC Hospitals.
Lynn was born in Lee County on February 26, 1987 and immediately took to the outdoors. He loved everything about hunting, fishing and creek-walking. He graduated from Lee County Senior High School and worked for The City of Sanford in the Street Department. Lynn was also a great cook and loved his family more than anything. Lynn was preceded in death by his maternal-grandfather Elbert Bryce Thomas and paternal-grandfather William Neil Freemen, Sr. “Nehi”.
He is survived by his wife Kelly Dawn Douglas Freeman; children Eli Freeman, Alexa Coggins; mother Sheila Thomas Hughes and husband Howard Hughes, Jr.; father Donnie Steve Freeman, Sr.; brothers Donnie Steve Freeman, Jr. and wife Shannon Melby Freeman, Bryce Freeman and special friend Cristal Chinchayan Herrera, Howard Hughes, III and special friend Britney Noller; maternal-grandmother Margaret Brennan and husband Darrell; paternal-grandmother Lois Freeman; and nieces and nephews Audrina Hughes, Tatum Hughes and Asher Freeman.
Lynn impacted many lives through his work and ministry at Living Free Ministries in Snow Camp, NC. He continued to help reach others and tell them that there is HOPE and he believed that our only hope comes through our Savior Jesus.
A memorial service and celebration of Lynn’s life will be held Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Life Springs Church San-Lee Campus, 3215 Keller Andrews Rd., Sanford, NC 27332, with Pastor Shane Wilson and Pastor Daniel Owens officiating.
