Charles Kenneth (Ken) Sandy

Charles Kenneth Sandy “Ken”, age 72, of Sanford, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday, January 31, 2025.

He was born in Lee County to the late Charles Arnold Sandy and Faye Coe Sandy.  Ken worked many years along side his father in their painting company, Quality Painting.  He had a special love for the coast enjoying the serenity the shore offered.  Ken also had a competitive spirit and he enjoyed a good game of pool and volleyball.  He married the love of his life, Lina and together they shared 35 years of a deep and enduring partnership built on love, respect, and laughter.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Lina Gillikin Sandy of the home; son Stephen Sandy Brunson of Sanford and special cousins Frances Walters (Chuck) of Vass, Tim Coe (Donna) of West End and Elaine Spencer of Wilmington.

The family will gather at a later date to celebrate Ken’s life.
