Charles Patterson, Jr.

Charles Patterson Jr., age 91, of Sanford, NC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Born in Cherokee County, GA, on September 23, 1933, Charles was the son of the late Charles Patterson Sr. and Willie Mae Green Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Patterson; daughters, Sandy Patterson and Sherry Patterson; and siblings, James, Ruth, and Louise.

Charles loved spending time with his family. His hobbies were fishing and gardening. He loved the outdoors and traveling. He was at peace with God, and now he is at rest with his Lord.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Mary Mitchell (Charles); sons, Ricky Patterson, Gene Patterson, Tommy Patterson, Adrian Patterson, Steve Patterson, Clifton Patterson, and Ricky Patterson; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home,191 Jarvis Street
Canton, GA 30114 on Saturday before the graveside service from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
