Catherine (Jackson) Stone

Catherine Jackson Stone, age 88, of Sanford, NC, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Sanford Health Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Lee County, NC on July 5, 1931 to the late Ralph Jackson and Leota Hunt Jackson.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Stone and brothers Hobert and Prentice Jackson. Catherine was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.  She was a member of Flat Springs Baptist Church and especially enjoyed her Ann Graves/Pearl Johnson Women on Mission Circle.

She is survived by her sons Lawrence Lundy (Suzanne Bunn) of Flowery Branch GA, Bobby Lundy (Pattie) of Sanford; grandsons Duncan Lundy (Amy) of Sanford, Jason Lundy of Sanford, Kaleb Lundy (Brian) of Charlotte, Cameron Lundy (Britney) of Conover and four great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020, 1:00 PM at Flat Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Gary McCollough officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery and the family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation.
