Carl Wayne Waddell

Carl Wayne Waddell, age 61, of Sanford, NC, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at his mother’s home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on November 1, 1959 to the late John Alexander Waddell and Louise Arnold Waddell of Sanford.  Carl worked for Moen for 30 plus years and was the best automobile mechanic around.  He loved his family and his dogs and was always there for his mother.  His daughter and grandchildren were close to his heart. Carl was a member of Wayside Evangelical Presbyterian Church and would help anyone in need.  He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In addition to his mother, Louise Arnold Waddell, he is survived by a daughter Stacy Waddell of Sanford; sisters Patricia Hamilton and husband Roger of Broadway, Debbie Honeycutt and husband Billy of Sanford; grandchildren Trinity and J.J. Simmons.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Wayside Evangelical Presbyterian Church with the funeral service following at 5:00 PM with Dr. Mark Carver officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
