Carl Henry Ayers

Carl Henry Ayers, age 84, of Sanford NC passed away. Friday October 31, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Lee County, on January 4, 1941 to the late Henry Kaiser Ayers and Florence McGehee Ayers. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his brother Clifton B. Ayers and his sister Judy Margaret Vick.

Carl was a talented guitarist Known for his deep love of music and his precision and skill as a marksman; Above all, he cherished his family and friends and the time spent with them, and will be deeply missed.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are  his loving and devoted wife  Peggy Yarborough Ayers; sons James Ayers (Shawn`e) of Sanford, NC; Wayne Ayers ( Rhonda) of Sanford, NC; Gene Ayers ( Kelli) of Sanford, NC;  daughter, Bobbie Kay Taylor (Dawson) of Cameron, NC; brother Clayton Eugene Ayers ( Edna) of Sanford, NC;  sister Linda Carol Parker of Sanford, NC; grandchildren Paula Cramer, Bryan Ayers, Ryan Smith , Ross Womack, Jeriann Womack, great-grandchildren Kayleigh Barnwell, Levi Bryant, Liam Bryant, Eden Bryant, Jonathon Smith. several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2025 form 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bridges & Cameron Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held Monday November 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at Solid Rock Community Church, with Pastor Brad Marona officiating. Burial will follow at Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.
