********* CHANGE OF DATE FOR GRAVESIDE SERVICE*****************************
Patsy “Louise” Harrington, age 81, of Sanford, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Lee County on July 16, 1944 to the late George Vernon Harrington and Betty Mae Stone Harrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers George Harrington, Jr., Gordon “Moe” Harrington, Bobby Harrington, Glynn Harrington, Kenneth Wayne Harrington, and a sister, Joyce Harrington Baxley.
Louise was a gentle soul with a creative eye and a deep love for the life she built around her. An amateur artist at heart, she found joy in color, texture, and making beauty with her own hands. When she wasn’t creating art, she could most often be found in her garden or tending to her chicken houses, places where she felt most at peace and most herself. Though she never had children of her own, her love for family was abundant. Louise cherished her family – especially her nieces and nephews, proudly referring to them as her “youngins”. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brothers Jimmy Harrington and Larry Harrington; sister, Bonnie Mae Sutton and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 1:30 PM at Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Robert Thomas officiating.
No formal visitation with the family is scheduled, but for those choosing to pay respects, you may do so at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to nieces, Terri Pope and Tammy G. Harrington for the loving care and kindness they gave Louise which brought her great comfort and peace.
