Bobby Holland Obituary

Bobby Ray Holland died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at his home.  He was born April 29, 1936 to Joseph Vernon Holland and Letha Allen Holland.  After graduating from Greenwood High School in 1956, he joined the US Army.  He served with the 101st ABD at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  Bobby was a master mechanic having worked for Holt Supply Company, Lee Paving Company and G.N. Childress.  He retired from Roadway Express.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Karen Lee Holland, son Bobby Ray Holland, II; brothers Charlie, Harvey, Jerry, Joe; sisters Virginia Holland, Kathleen Burns, Peggy Wicker and Linda Chiaraluce.

Bobby is survived by his wife Mildred Sloan Holland, son David Sloan Holland; daughters Kathy Holland and Becky Holland Snyder; granddaughter Hillary Holland Harrell (Justin) and their children, Olivia, Maggie and Sadie; granddaughter Rebekah Wright and her children Emily, Katie and Nora; grandson Jimmy Roberts (Rochelle) and their children Josh, Morgan, Leah and Aaron.

Bobby was a faithful member of Coolwater Cowboy Church in the Asbury Community and also attended Zion Christian Church on Sundays with his wife.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Zion Christian Church Cemetery with Dr. Wesley Thomas and Pastor Ward Haas officiating.

There will be no formal visitation but friends and family are welcome to come by his home where his family will be receiving.
