Billy Warf

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my brother Billy Warf. He died just before his 72nd birthday on June 26, 2026. 

To understand Billy you need glance at our rearing: Our father was in the Air Force so we grew up everywhere, both off and on base! Seems we were always standing in the classroom door! “Class, I’d like to introduce Billy Warf!” 

Our father’s parents died before he was 13! Our father went to live with his older brother Coy Warf in Sanford, NC, who had children our father’s age. Coincidentally Billy died in this exact house in Sanford, North Carolina! He will be the last resident as the farm house is over 100 years old and it will be razed!

Billy was mild tempered and easy to get along with! He was a hapless sojourner! 

Billy is survived by his son Nicholas Warf (Jessica) from Wallkill, New York, two daughters: Armenda Kates (Kent) from Keota, OK, and Donna Murphy from McAlester, OK.

He is also survived by his sisters Audrey Mitzner from Wallkill, NY, Linda Kane from Warrenton, VA, Mary Cubito (John) from Sunset Beach, NC and one brother Glenn Warf (Michele) from Endicott, NY.

Billy is predeceased by his parents Aubrey and Rita Warf and his younger brother Bruce.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention two angels in Billy’s life; Gayle Blakeslee and William Cole! They looked in on him and took him grocery shopping and to the doctor’s office during the many, many occasions when he had no transportation!

Because of logistics there will be no services. His son will spread his ashes on our parent's gravesite.

 Just think of him from time to time and he will never perish!
