Obituary
Billy Everett, age 77, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Lee County to the late Fletcher Jones Everett, Sr., and Mina Hall Everett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Hall, Fletcher Everett, Elbert Hall, and Robert Everett and a granddaughter, Christy.
Billy worked for Weyerhaeuser for many years. He enjoyed building beautiful birdhouses, watching NASCAR, playing a round of golf, and socializing with friends after a long day of work.
He is survived by his daughters, April Whitaker and husband, James of Sanford and Rhonda Cooper and husband, Jerald of Broadway; sister, Joanne Dover of Georgia; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Johnson Family Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation however family and friends are welcome to pay their respects and sign the register beginning Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.
