Betty (Soles) Yow

Betty Soles Yow, age 75, of Stem, NC, formerly of Sanford, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her daughter, Kim’s home in Stem, NC, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Chadbourn, NC on January 24, 1947 to the late J.V. Soles and Mabel McCracken Soles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Scott Yow, Sr. and sister Nina Faye Carroll.  Betty was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and owned and operated Yow’s Grocery Store along with her late husband James.  Betty and James served the Broadway community with their commitment to neighbors and those in need.  They always supported Broadway and its people.

She is survived by her children; Kim Yow Satterwhite and husband Henry of Stem, NC, Michelle Yow Daurity and husband Mark of Sanford, J. Scott Yow, Jr. and wife Crystal of Broadway, Lisa Jackson of Sanford and Hugh Walters of Dunn; brothers Buddy Soles and wife Lorraine of Chadbourn, Kenny Soles and wife Candy of Chadbourn.

Betty is also survived by grandchildren Crystal Satterwhite and husband Zach, Chase Satterwhite, Jaron Richardson, Randi Nipper, Brynn Gross and husband Cody, Dalton Walters, Tori Isenhour and husband Dustin, Rachel Lane and husband Cameron, Meredith Yow, Landon Yow; 4 great-grandchildren; her beloved pets Toby, Rocky and Charlie; and Betty’s special hospice nurse Chelsie with Kindred Hospice.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM 1:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A private graveside service will be held.
