Betty Louise Cox

Betty Louise Cox, 75, of Sanford, North Carolina went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at her residence. She was a devout Christian and a member of, Crossroads Ministries in Broadway, NC for many years. She loved the Lord and all his teachings. She continually reminded family and friends that the Lord guides us all.

Betty was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1949. After relocating to Sanford, NC, she met and fell in love with her late husband, Roger Odell Cox (2010). They were married in 1972 and began their life and their family shortly thereafter in Sanford.

She is survived by her son, Abram Cox, of Sanford, NC and her daughter, Allison Cox McLaughlin (Kurt), of Pine Mountain, GA. She has two grandchildren, Joshua Steinbach (Cheyenne), of Hamilton, GA and Ashlyn Ozeransky (Artem), of Columbus, GA and two step-grandchildren, Seth McLaughlin of Woodbridge, VA and Sydney McLaughlin, of Pine Mountain, GA. She is also survived by her loving sister, Sue Yarborough Atkins (Fred), of Sanford, NC.

The family will have services, Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00am, at Bridges & Cameron Funeral Home Chapel, located at 600 Main Street, Sanford, NC 27332. Pastor Paul Backlund will officiate.
