Audrey Bullard Eagle, 75, went peacefully to her eternal home Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford comforted by the arms of her daughter and surrounded by family.
Audrey was born in Lee County on August 17, 1946, to William Earl Bullard and Bertha Lemons Bullard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Eagle, III; brother, William Gray Bullard; nephew, Jonathan David Baca and dearest friend Mrs. Betty Sherrod, where they were all able to welcome her with open arms.
After being a wonderful homemaker and volunteer in Lee County Schools for 18 years, Audrey went back to work for the school system she loved. For 15 years she worked the front desk at East Lee Middle School, where she made a lasting impression on staff, students and parents until she retired to follow her biggest dream of being a full time Grandma to her most loved and adored Granddaughters. Audrey dedicated her life to her family, her church and service for others through volunteer work and lifelong blood donations. She selflessly gave 17 gallons of life saving blood to help people she didn't even know. She was a pillar of strength and dependability for her family and her church, and she will always be remembered with incredible adoration.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Eagle Potter and husband, Josh of Chapel Hill, NC; her two most precious granddaughters, Sophia Faith Potter and Isabella "Bella" Faith Potter of Chapel Hill, NC; her devoted sister, Ola Baca and husband, Jim of Sanford, NC; sister in law, Faye Bullard of Cameron, NC; niece, Beverly Paschal and husband, Randy of Cameron, NC; great niece, Kerri Wright and husband, Michael of Sanford, NC; sister in law, Linda Aurand and husband, Dave of Orlando, FL; brother, Art Bullard and wife, Dianne of Sanford, NC and her beloved dog, Happy.
A service to honor her life will be held Saturday, June 18 at 3 p.m. at Wayside Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 8679 Sheriff Watson Road Sanford, NC 27332. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30-3:00 in the church's sanctuary. A graveside service follows in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a blood donation in Audrey's memory at your local chapter of Red Cross or donations in her memory to Wayside Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
