Aubrey "Felix" Lee Hall

Aubrey Lee “Felix” Hall, age 82, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his home, with his family by his side.

He was born in Harnett County on February 4, 1943 to the late Archie Dewey Hall and Annie Laura Carter Hall.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janie Rae Arnold Hall; brothers A.C., Dewey, Sam; and sisters Eulalia, Catherine and Betty.

Felix was a retired military Veteran, and also retired from the Department of Civil Defense Coalition (Civil Service).  He served active duty in the United States Army: Basic Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia; AIT Fort Jackson, S/C; Auto Mechanic, Quarter Master School in Fort Lee, VA, Truck Artillery (Uijeongbu).  PCS to Fort Meade, MD assigned to 28 General Hospital – Active First Sargent. 

The remainder of service was a Fort Bragg, NC in the 824th as a Quarter Master Airborne Rigger; Mechanic 321st Training Bat; 11B and 11C Drill Sargent; Auto Instructor and Dining Facility Manager; Fort Dix, NJ training school, Fort Benning, GA – training Drill Sargent; Fort Jackson, SC as Drill Sargent, also Automotive Instructor; 120th ARCOM. 125 Heavy and light mobile equipment repairman and instructor; then began working with Civil Service as an Auto Craft Instructor DPCA (three locations on Fort Bragg.  Mail File Clerk Administrator for the Department of Defense at Fort Bragg, NC.

He was a Past Master of Buffalo Masonic Lodge 172; Past Patron of Sanford Chapter No. 48 and Jonesboro Heights Chapter No. 310 Order of the Eastern Star; Member of the VFW Stanley McLeod 5631 Sanford, NC; Past District Commander of VFW 9th District; Life Member of DAV and Past Commander, Moose Lodge 386, and American Legion.  He loved people of all walks of life and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his daughter Felicia Rae Hall Crites (Ray); brothers Vaugus “Wayne” Hall (Sarah), Sam L. Hall (Molly), Jerome “Romey” Hall (Verna); sister Margaret Hall Altman (Al) and friend CJ Gosnell.

The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the Moose Honor Guard. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 13th at 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church (824 Claude White Road, Cameron, NC 28326) with Pastor Vaugus “Wayne” Hall presiding.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
