Arthur Lewis Davis

Arthur Lewis Davis, age 90, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Westfield Rehabilitation and Health Center.

He was born in Gaston County on August 29, 1928 to the late Tommy Lee Davis and Stella Moore Davis.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances McCall.  After serving his country in the US Army, Lewis owned and operated a golf cart sales and service company.    He was a long-time member of Tramway Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary Agnes Hussey Davis; one son, Joel Davis and wife, Julie of Sanford; two daughters, Debbie Johnson and husband, Mike of Sanford and Angie Davis of Sanford; one grandchild, Joei Leigh Davis and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Parker and Dalton Parker all of Sanford.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Tramway Baptist Church with Dr. John Allen and Travis Corley officiating.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
