Anne Booker Collins, age 78, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh, NC.
Anne was born in Lee County, NC. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Larry Collins; and her parents, Roy W. Booker and Frances W. Booker.
Anne was a devoted wife and a loving mother whose life was a testament to faith, compassion, and service. She retired as a beloved educator from Tramway Elementary after more than 30 plus years. She was a former member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church, where she faithfully served as an adult Sunday School teacher for many years. She will be remembered for the countless lives she touched through her teaching.
After retirement, Anne and Larry enjoyed their trips to the beach. At home, she loved sitting in their sunroom, watching her birds, rabbits, and deer, and had a deep love for nature. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 58 years, Larry Collins of Sanford, NC; her brother-in-law, Donnie Collins (Carol) of Sanford, NC; her sister-in-law, Penny Grim (Charlie) of Lillington, NC; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins from Hamlet, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Buffalo Cemetery, with Pastor Jody McNeill officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
