Adrian Leonard Smith, Jr.

Adrian Leonard Smith, Jr., age 83, of Sanford, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Lee County, NC on November 26, 1941 to the late Adrian Leonard Smith, Sr. and Carrie Lynn Craig Smith.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Ussery Smith and sister Carolyn Sue West.

Adrian graduated from Sanford Central High School and attended Western Carolina University.  He worked many years and retired in 1999 from Allied Signal/Honeywell.  Following his retirement, he worked as a jeweler alongside his daughter, Lora at Southern Jewelers. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by children Lora Wright and husband Steve, Alan Smith and wife Jennifer; step-son Frankie Pruett and wife Carla; brother Robert Lynn Smith; grandchildren Katie Warren and husband Roy, Jamie Coakley and husband Matt, Jacob Smith, Colton Smith; step-grandchildren Marissa Thomas, Steven Wright, Bradley Wright and wife Rachel and two great-grandchildren Cheyanne and Addison Warren.
