Y. Mack Conder

Y. Mack Conder, age 94, of Sanford, N.C., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Parkview Retirement Center.

He was born in Lee County on August 3, 1923, to the late Ernest Conder and Margaret Coggins Conder.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Conder; four brothers, Howard, Calvin, Ever and Bud Conder and by one sister, Margaret Conder.  Mack proudly served his country in the US Army and Airforce and worked for many years as a builder. 

Mack is survived by his two sons, Mitch Conder and wife, Marvella of Sanford, Terry Conder and wife, Julie of Sanford; one daughter, Nadine Ellis and husband, Jerry of Sanford; five grandchildren, Gretchen Carlyle, Josh Conder, Katie Conder, Darryl Phillips, J.W. Ellis and by his five great-grandchildren, Megan Newman, Maria Clouse, Dakota Carlyle, Madison Conder and Jake Phillips

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Buffalo Cemetery with Halford Fore officiating.
