William "Billy" McDuffie

William “Billy” McDuffie, age 78, of Sanford, NC, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at his home.

Mr. McDuffie was born in Caswell County, on Dec. 10, 1939, to the late Daniel McDuffie and Ava Ellington McDuffie.  He worked for Coty as a mechanic until his retirement.  Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Pyrant, Geraldine Harrison, and Pauline Holt; brothers, Harold and Daniel McDuffie, Jr.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Nancy Ross McDuffie of the home; daughters, Carol McDuffie of Sanford, and Tonya McDuffie Hogan and Steve of Sanford; sister, Carolyn Talbott of Sanford; grandchildren, Daniel Holder, Jacob Holder, Katie Hogan, and Keaton Hogan; great grandchildren, Violet Holder.

The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, from 12:30PM to the funeral hour at Grace Chapel.  The funeral will be held at 2PM, with Dr. Royce Baker, Rev. Larry Harrison, and Rev. James Estes presiding.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
