Wesley Charles Wicker, age 32, of Broadway, NC, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at UNC Hospitals following an automobile accident.

He was born in Durham, NC on December 22, 1984 to Robert Wesley Wicker and Gloria Norris Wicker of Broadway.  Wesley was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and worked 14 years alongside his father at Wicker’s Pawn Shop.  Most recently Wesley was a supervisor with Smith Douglas Homes out of Apex.  His favorite pastime activities were hunting, fishing and working hard.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Victoria Brogdon Wicker; sons Mason Wicker, Jaxon Wicker; daughter Saylor Wicker; brother Travis Wicker of Broadway; paternal grandmother Annie Pearl Wicker Patterson of Broadway; maternal grandfather Charles Norris of Sanford; mother-in-law Rosie Edwards of Broadway; father-in-law David Brogdon of Hope Mills; and grandfather-in-law David S. Brogdon of Florida.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and at other times at both Victoria’s home and Robert & Gloria’s home.  A funeral service will be held Friday, July 14th at 2:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to his children’s education fund in care of Victoria Wicker, 2538 Cool Springs Road, Broadway, NC 27505.
