Walter Leroy Shaw, age 78, of Broadway passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at his home.

Walter was born in Florida and was the son of the late J.D. Shaw.  He served his country in the Army.

Surviving is his longtime companion and soul mate, Brenda Shaw Wesley of the home; four sons, Timothy L. Shaw of Sanford, David W. Shaw and Mark D. Shaw both of Siler City and John D. Shaw of Broadway; one daughter, Tammy S. Conner and her husband, Robert of Sanford.  He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Lemon Springs Methodist Church with Chaplain Joel Cameron officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home 600 W. Main Street, Sanford, NC 27332 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
