Sylvia (Burns) Collins

Sylvia Burns Collins, age 79, of Sanford, NC, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Lee County on May 4, 1939 to the late Ulysses Burns and Erma Thomas Burns.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Grant Burns.   Sylvia was a member of Kendale Acres Free Will Baptist Church and she worked many years at Wyeth.

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Troy Collins; daughter, Cathy Frazier of Wake Forest; brother, Sammy Burns of LaGrange, Georgia; three grandchildren, Alexandria Frazier, Savannah Rose Frazier and Jonathan Frazier: nine nephews and five nieces.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug Western officiating.  Burial will follow at Moore Union Christian Church Cemetery.
